Brunswick Real Estate, a market leading group focusing on real estate in the Nordics, has partnered with leading real estate investment professionals, David Turner and Will Amies, to launch a London-based boutique investment management business.
Brunswick Real Estate has launched numerous successful ventures focused around progressive trends and niche strategies in the Nordics. With increasing demand from Nordic and international investors for direct investment opportunities in the UK, the launch of Brunswick Real Estate UK (now Brunswick Property Partners) will extend this approach to provide a unique platform which offers progressive strategies that bridge capital flows and opportunities between the Nordic region and the UK.
Brunswick Real Estate UK’s investment strategy is to develop direct investment opportunities through strategic partnerships to create efficient and scalable investment platforms. This will be complemented with special situations involving large and unique off-market investments.
The “build to rent” sector will be an initial key investment theme, which will leverage Brunswick Real Estate’s in-depth knowledge of Sweden’s residential sector (the country’s most popular investment class for institutional investors) and the favourable dynamics of the UK private rental market.
David Turner is one of the UK’s leading real estate investment specialists, having recently left TH Real Estate where he was Head of TIAA European Investment and responsible for a $4.5bn portfolio, the majority held through strategic joint ventures.
Will Amies has over 17 years’ experience specialising in business development, most recently at Cording Real Estate Group, where he was Deputy CEO, Head of the UK office and a main board member. He has successfully launched numerous investment strategies with some of Europe’s leading investors.
Brunswick Real Estate UK’s board is chaired by Martin Andersson, a Partner at Brunswick Real Estate who has a long and successful investment track record. In addition to David Turner and Will Amies, the board also includes Brunswick Real Estate Partners, Martin Wiwen-Nilsson, formerly Partner at Goldman Sachs, and Louise Richnau who is heading Brunswick’s debt investment arm.
Martin Wiwen-Nilsson, Co-Managing Partner, Brunswick Real Estate, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Will and David, whom we have known a long time, and who bring complementary qualities towards building another successful Brunswick Real Estate business. Now is an exciting time for us and our Nordic capital partners to invest in the UK market.”
David Turner, Founding Partner of Brunswick Real Estate UK, said: “Brunswick Real Estate is a leader in progressive trend investing in the Nordics, with a hugely successful track record. We will follow a similar approach in the UK, looking to form long term strategic joint ventures with talented developers and operators to create a series of large investment platforms.”
Will Amies, Founding Partner of Brunswick Real Estate UK, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with a group we have a long and trusted relationship with. Our new business will respond to investors’ increasing demand to invest directly and will offer them a genuine Anglo-Nordic platform to access exciting investment opportunities.”
